Petzl TacTikka Headlamp – Four LED Colors Maximize Operational Capabilities

The Petzl TacTikka headlamp incorporates multiple-colored LEDs, white, red, green, and blue, to maximize operational use in a variety of conditions. White light provides general illumination. Beam output of 350, 100 and 6 lumens allow seeing object far and near without excessive light saturation. Red light preserves night vision and is universally recognized for caution and emergency signaling. Conversely, red lights are a poor choice for reading maps. It washes out red lines or print. Green light also preserves night vision. In addition, hunters and fishermen claim green light attracts wildlife and fish. Blue light is particularly useful for nighttime map reading and cutting through fog. Frequently, blue light is used by law enforcement to identify blood and body fluids. Petzl TacTikka white light throw distance is 90 meters (295 feet). Headlamp capabilities are ideal for professional and recreational use including operation as a bicycle headlight or taillight. The Petzl TacTikka operates on three AAA alkaline or lithium-ion and NiMH rechargeable batteries. In addition, TacTikka headlamp also operates using the Petzl Core USB rechargeable battery (available separately). Handsfree use is augmented with an adjustable reflective head strap.
