NightStar Green LED Shakelight preserves night vision and is excellent for outdoor adventures; especially, fishing where some species of fish are attracted to green light and spotting certain insects, ex.scorpions, that are harmful to humans and pets.

The narrow green led light beam with minimal spill, 520 to 550 nanometers, enhances penetration of fog, smoke, and water relative to white light. Lower color temperature light i.e. light with longer wavelengths is reflected less in these conditions. Flashlights and headlamps that operate between 600 (amber) and 700 (red) nanometers are preferred by fire fighters. No light “cuts” through smoke and makes objects completely visible. Visibility depends on the density of the smoke and its ignition source i.e. forest fire vs. chemical fire. Less heavy smoke allows deeper penetration of light.
