Indoor lighting T8 bulb installs into existing 4-foot fluorescent light fixture bypassing the light ballast and directly connecting to incoming AC power leads, which are energized at both ends. This configuration eliminates having to replace shunted tombstone lamp-holders in existing fluorescent luminaires with instant-start ballasts. For rooms and closets with low ceilings installing the led tube into a recessed lighting fixture is optimal. LED lighting last far longer than fluorescent or incandescent bulbs and lower property operating cost by reducing electricity demand and light maintenance cost. DEBP4FT17W is DLC listed qualifying the led bulb for utility company rebates where offered.
